I found these pruners fine for light pruning and dead heading. They are mildly disappointing as some very small tasks take two or more clips to make the cut. Still they are lightweight and comfortable to use. Considering the price, I am satisfied with them.
Description of Toro Ratcheting Pruners #29206
The ingenious Toro ratcheting pruner allows for easy cutting with the least amount of effort. It's ideal for cutting roses and dead branch material, because the strong aluminum die-cast body gives the pruner extra strength while the ergonomically shaped handles with TPR (thermo plastic rubber) inserts provide extra cushioning and a non-slip grip. The blade is made from high carbon steel and has a non-stick coating for top cutting performance and a long lasting cutting edge. It also has patented center oiler bolt technology for ease of maintenance of the tool, allowing for continuous lubrication during operation.
